Information we collect
Browsing civilrightscalc.com — using the calculator or reading the guides — does not collect any personal information. Calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser and are not transmitted to our servers. No account or registration is required.
If you submit the Civil Rights case-review form on our homepage, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the case details you enter, and a timestamp of your consent. That information is only collected if you choose to submit the form.
How case-review form information is shared
If you submit the case-review form, your name, phone number, email address, and case details are shared with one or more attorneys or their agents licensed to practice in your jurisdiction, so they can evaluate your situation and contact you about it. The Click Lab Agency LLC, which operates civilrightscalc.com, is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not vet, endorse, or guarantee the attorneys in this network. Submitting the form does not create an attorney-client relationship with The Click Lab Agency LLC or with any attorney until and unless that attorney separately agrees to represent you. The Click Lab Agency LLC may be compensated for these referrals.
By submitting the form, you separately consent to be contacted by phone, text, and email — including by automated dialing technology — by The Click Lab Agency LLC and the attorneys or agents your information is shared with. That consent is not required to use any other part of this site, and you can decline it by not submitting the form.
Cookies and advertising
We serve display advertising through Google AdSense (publisher ID: ca-pub-6434377544325972). Google AdSense uses cookies to serve relevant advertisements based on your prior visits to websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4, property G-X9P4RKDL1N) to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and how they navigate the site. Google Analytics collects data per Google’s privacy policy, including anonymized IP addresses and browser/device information. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Third-party services
This site uses Google AdSense and Google Analytics, both of which are subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. If you submit the case-review form, your information is also shared with the attorneys or agents described above. We do not sell or share personal information with any other third party beyond what is described in this policy.
Your choices and opt-out
The simplest opt-out is not to submit the case-review form — browsing the calculator and guides never shares any personal information. If you have already submitted the form and want your information removed or want to withdraw consent to be contacted, email hey@theclicklab.agency with the subject line [OPT-OUT], or visit theclicklab.agency/optout. You can also control cookie preferences through your browser settings; refusing advertising cookies will not affect your ability to use the calculator or read our content.
California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
Sharing case-review form information with attorneys in exchange for compensation may be considered a “sale” or “share” of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act and its amendments. California residents may opt out of this sharing at any time using either method above. Anonymous browsing of the calculator and guides is never sold or shared, because it collects no personal information in the first place. California residents also have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request deletion, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights — contact us at the email above to make a request.
European privacy rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the EU/EEA or UK, the legal basis for processing information you submit through the case-review form is your consent, given at the point of submission. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the opt-out methods above; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal. Browsing the calculator and guides involves no personal-data processing and requires no legal basis.
